Privacy Policy

1. The short version

• You can play everything without signing up or logging in, and we never ask for payment details.
• Signing in is optional. If you choose to sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier from them, your email address (Apple may hand us a private relay address instead) and, if you share it, your name. We use these only to keep your nickname, results and private tables when you change device. We never see your password.
• Your chips, wallet and settings are stored in your own browser, not on our servers.
• Hands you play — both at live tables against other people and in single-player against the AI — are recorded on our server (see section 2). A hand record contains no name, email or payment details — only a random identifier generated by your browser and whatever nickname you type in.
• We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful.
• We may show advertising supplied by Google. Advertising and analytics providers set their own cookies — details and opt-outs are below.
• No real money is involved anywhere on this site, so there is nothing financial to collect.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us: almost none. The games require no registration. Apart from the optional sign-in described below, the only way to send us anything is to email us voluntarily via the contact page, in which case we hold your message and address only for as long as it takes to reply.

Optional sign-in:in the Poker Room app you can sign in with Apple or Google. You never have to; everything is playable without it. If you do, Apple or Google confirms who you are and sends us an account identifier, your email address (Apple may give us a private relay address rather than your real one) and, if you choose to share it, your name. We never see your password. We keep these details in our game server’s database at Cloudflare, alongside the hand records, and use them for one purpose: to recognise you on a new device so that your nickname, results and private tables come with you. They are not sold, not shared with anyone else and not used for marketing. Apple or Google, for their part, learn that you signed in to Poker Room. You can undo the sign-in at any time — see section 7.

Stored in your browser (not sent to us):the state of a single-player game in progress, your play-money chips and wallet, your best results, and preferences such as sound on or off. This lives in your browser’s local storage and stays on your device. Clearing your browser data erases it — we hold no copy of your chips or settings and cannot restore them.

Stored on our server (hand records): when you play at a live table against other people, the table itself runs on our server, so the hands played there are recorded: the cards dealt, the bets and folds, and who won. Since September 2026 the hands you play in single-player against the AI are recorded the same way — each finished hand is sent to our server with the same random identifier. Each record carries that random identifier generated by your browser and the nickname you chose — the hand record itself never contains your name, email or payment details. That identifier is also kept in a cookie set by our game server so that your record survives a cleared browser cache. We keep these hand records so that players can review recent hands, so you can see your own results and tips, and so we can study how the game is played; they are not deleted on a schedule. You can erase the link to you at any time — see section 7, which applies to single-player hands and live-table hands alike. Nothing you do at any table involves real money.

Collected automatically: standard technical data that any website receives — pages requested, approximate region, device and browser type, referring site — plus the anonymous measurement described in section 4.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Three categories may be used on this site:

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking essential storage will make the site forget your progress; blocking the others does not affect gameplay.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analyticsto understand how many people visit, which games and guides get used, and where the site is slow or confusing. The data is aggregated and is not used to identify you. You can opt out for every site you visit with Google’s browser add-on. The Poker Room iOS app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for the same purpose, which send anonymous usage events and crash reports (device model, OS version, app version) to Google.

5. Advertising

This site does not currently serve advertising. No advertising scripts run on these pages and no advertising cookies are set. We do intend to introduce advertising later so the games can stay free to play.

When that happens we will update this policy before any ads appear, and we will say who serves them and what they store. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we will ask for your consent before any advertising cookie is set, and give you a way to change that choice afterwards.

Advertising will never cover the card table itself: ads will appear beside and below the play area and in our written guides, never on top of your cards.

6. Other services we rely on

The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, which processes request data for security and performance; our game server and its database run there too. If you sign in, Apple or Google acts as the sign-in provider: they verify your identity and pass us the details listed in section 2, and they learn that you signed in to Poker Room. What they keep about that is governed by Apple’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy. Our footer links to sister sites operated by the same studio; once you follow such a link, that site’s own policy applies.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California — you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, and to object to its processing. The personal data on our side is the random identifier and nickname attached to live-table hands, the results computed from them, and — only if you signed in — the sign-in details described in section 2. You can erase all of this yourself:open the live-poker lobby and choose “Delete my data”; the iOS app offers the same “Delete my data” in Settings. This removes the identifier and nickname from every recorded hand (the cards and bets stay, no longer linked to anyone), deletes your results, removes the link between your Apple or Google account and this player (for Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke the sign-in authorization; you can remove Poker Room yourself at any time under Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple), and clears the cookie — your browser or device starts over as a new player. If you cannot use the lobby or the app, write to us via the contact page with the identifier shown in the lobby and we will do it for you. For data held by Apple or Google as independent controllers, use their own account settings and the links in sections 4 and 6.

8. Children

Poker Room is a card-game site written for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Note that although the chips are play money with no cash value, the subject matter is a casino card game; parents may prefer to supervise younger players.

9. Security and changes

The site is served over HTTPS. We store very little personal data — apart from the random identifier, nickname and hand records described in section 2, nothing at all unless you sign in, and then only the account identifier, email address and optional name from section 2 — so a breach of our systems could expose little more than that. If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page; material changes will also be noted on the home page.
